Dean Hunt is the author of DeanHunt.com
Despite being a relatively new blog, it is featured in the top 39,000 sites on the Internet according to Alexa, and has featured on the main pages of Digg, Slashdot, Reddit and numerous other major social media sites.
Dean is proof that you can be very successful online at an early age. Dean moved from retail management at the age of 19 and created his first site in 2003 as a hobby. In 2004 he was making major deals on the site, and in 2005 he had built a network of highly successful sites in one of the toughest industries on the Internet.
Dean says “I decided to throw myself in at the deep end, I had no knowledge of making or running websites, and I was very young, but I believe that by challenging yourself you learn a lot more. I now make a very healthy living from the Internet, and I can safely say that it is a dream job.”
Dean sold his network of sites in 2006 and planned to take a year off to relax and travel, but only 5 days after he sold his network he was creating new sites and thinking of new ideas. “It seems I have the Internet success bug. I planned on relaxing for 12 months and I even bought a mansion in Madrid, but my mind is too active right now, and I just can’t seem to stop working on sites”
Dean claims that a deep understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and an outside the box style of creative thinking has helped him get to where he is today. “I see SEO as a game, it is you vs Google, and I am always looking for systems and methods to gain an edge. But I would say it has been my creative thinking that has helped me the most. My ideas can be very wacky sometimes, but I think it really helps me stand out from the crowd”
Dean still does some SEO consulting work, but most of his time is spent buying and selling websites, promoting websites and writing here at StreetLessons.com and at his highly successful blog at DeanHunt.com
Dean says “There are too many so called experts who give advice on SEO, Marketing and how to make money online who in real life are working 9 to 5 in fast food restaurants. Anyone can talk the talk, but at StreetLessons.com you have to be able to walk the walk, and I am very proud to be a part of this.“
