How to Create Buzz to Sell Windows
Posted on 16 November 2007 by DeanHunt
Let’s be honest, windows are not the most exciting of products. Some try and convince me they are great, but I can see right through them (hehe).
Seriously though, promoting something like windows can be a real pane.
So if you wanted to create buzz for an item like a window, it wouldn’t be easy. But the team from Conservatory TV have managed to push the boundaries and have created this video to promote their windows:
I think it is really forward thinking, and whilst the video is still lacking a couple of ingredients required to go global, it certainly proves that with a little creativity and imagination, you can get far in ANY industry.
I can’t think of any more window related puns, I am shattered, so I welcome your thoughts on the video, and hopefully other companies will latch onto this technique.

I agree creating buzz for windows woudl be difficult as theya re not very sexy. This video is a good step but there is not much branding in it - they should have had added their comanpy name to the end of the video or have their “hero” mention the comapny name.

Chris,
Yes, they tie the product into the video, but they need to mention the company name at the end.
