What is a good domain name? Take the BillBoard Test.

While reading SERoundTable today, I came across this post which pointed to a WMW thread. In there, there was a quick checklist to see if you own a high-quality domain.
1) Easy to remember, because drivers won’t be able to write them down.
2) No hyphens or non dot-com TLDs - drivers will forget hyphens, and probably type in the .com even if you advertised “.net”.
3) No easy-to-confuse variations that you don’t own. (E.g., plural/singular variants when applicable).
4) Relevant to the buyer’s interest or need.
You may disagree or point out a zillion other things that need / need not be there. However, I can say that this checklist is spot-on!
That gives me an idea for another post — Tactics I use to grab good domains. And BTW I got hundreds of good domains that indeed pass this billboard test.
