It’s human nature to be have materialistic desires and to make things easy for one-self. Nothing wrong with both.

Materialistic desires are what drive us to work our asses off and making things easy for one-self and the desire to make things easy for one-self has lead to so many inventions and millions in profits for mavericks who saw business opportunities in it.

So, what am I talking about? Well, it has something to do with this site only but before I get to that point, I need to talk about my current business structure, what my vision is and what led me to thinking that I need to take a bit of my own advice.

Well, I founded a company called IA9 Holdings with an objective of giving my new-media ventures a structure and also to give me a ticket to dance with the sharks (yeah I know that it has multiple meanings, take your pick).

Even though IA9 Holdings has interests in lifestyle, entertainment and hospitality industry but our ventures in these industries have been either limited to new-media or simply investing in other companies in these industries.

Now that isn’t to say that we plan to stick to new-media only — I have always firmly believed that Internet is just another medium of doing business… not a business in itself.

We have extensive plans for real-world ventures in these segments however the funding options currently available to us are not in line with my long-term vision. I won’t get into the reason but I think that this is actually a good thing.

We are sticking to our vision and going ahead one step at time.

The reason why I had started this blog was not only to earn some loose change but also promote myself as someone who understands his industry (and get noticed by the media).

Yes, I dream big and yes I work my ass off to turn my dreams into reality.

However, my problem was that I was trying to live tomorrow today. I was trying to find solutions to problem that I am not facing right now but may face at a later stage. I was trying to prove myself a leader amongst people who I will be competing with at a later stage.

I have always said that I sing for the moment. I guess I had forgotten this for a few moments.

So what’s the plan right now? Well, technically my business is all new-media right now and at any stage later I see new-media playing the biggest role in my business. Each day I spend 12-14 hours managing my new-media venture.

From now on I am going to mainly talk about the lessons that I’ve learn managing and growing my own e-ventures and my opinions on where the industry is heading.

Even though I have always talked here from my experience but I was trying to generalize the lessons. From now on I am going to be reporting from the trenches.

Mind you, I am going to be talking from a perspective of and to new-media entrepreneurs and website publishers… not web-designers cos that’s not my expertise.

Well, about materialistic gains — a narrow focus of this site would allow me to promote it more effectively and also make it more profitable.

And making things easy? I would not have to spend time generalizing thing.
